Lisette Haglund

This animation was created as part of a group project in a course on 3D graphics. We were free to choose the type of project we wanted to make, and we decided to create a cozy Christmas scene that included many Swedish elements.

Since it was a collaboration, we divided the work between us. The objects I modeled and created materials for include the cabin, snow, fireplace, and many of the smaller details visible in the scene. I was also responsible for the lighting and animation, which we chose to include as an extra feature beyond the course requirements. All modeling and animation were done in Blender. The animated elements include falling snow, the fire in the fireplace, flickering candle flames, steam rising from a mug in the window, and a blinking string of lights on the floor.

Our goal was to create a warm and stylized atmosphere that captures the feeling of a cozy Christmas Eve. The camera is positioned outside the cabin window, highlighting the contrast between the cold exterior and the warm light inside. We put a lot of effort into making the scene feel alive, carefully adding many small details and objects to bring the environment to life.
